| El proyecto tiene por objetivo proporcionar una base de datos del idioma yurakaré que corresponda a las necesidades de una variedad de personas (hablantes y sus representantes polÃticos, pedagogos responsables de producción de material escolar, ONG's, lingüistas, antropólogos) y que sirva a varias funciones, académicas o no, incluso funciones que no prevemos en este momento. Si la base de datos está en primer lugar dirigida a documentar el idioma yurakaré en su diversidad, incorpora también datos contextuales, testimonios, ilustraciones de prácticas cotidianas, discursos de los yurakaré acerca de su propia situación y de los desafÃos que viven hoy en dÃa, proporcionando asà una documentación que incluye el material lingüÃstico en el mundo vivido actual de los yurakaré. | ||
| The aim of the project is to provide people from various backgrounds (speakers and their political representatives, developers of educational material, NGO's, language planners, linguists and anthropologists) with a database of the Yurakaré language that can serve a variety of purposes, even purposes we do not foresee at this moment. The database aims in the first place at documenting the Yurakaré language in all its diversity, but it will also include data that give an idea of the context of the language: personal histories, illustrations of everyday practices, Yurakaré testimonies about their own situation and the challenges they are facing today. In this manner we want to build a database that not only includes linguistic material, but that also tries to embed these data in the larger context of the current Yurakaré society. | ||
| The Virgin of Loreto was left alone by the peole of Loreto, because they did not have strong faith. One day, a woman went to the church to sweep it. Then, the Virgin started to cry. Since that day, the people of Loreto have faith again, and celebrate that day known as 'La lágrima de Loreto' - the 'Tear of Loreto'. The second topic of the session are the ancestors of the Yurakaré. They did not believe in God, but rather ate tobacco to get in touch with the lord of the tobacco, a spiritual being which gave them power. | ||
| Los Loretanos habÃan dejado sola a la Virgen de Loreto, porque ya no tenÃan fé. Un dÃa, una mujer se acordó y se fue a la iglesia para barrer. Entonces, empezó a llorar la Virgen. Desde ese dÃa, la gente de Loreto a vuelto a tener fé, y se celebra este dÃa cada año. Es conocido como 'La Lágrima de Loreto'. El segundo tema de la sesión son los antepasados de los Yurakaré. No creÃan en Dios, sino comÃan tabaco para entrar en contacto con el señor del tabaco, un ser mÃtico que les daba poder a los antepasados. | ||
