| The study was conducted by the linguist Raquel Guirardello-Damian. The Trumai examples were obtained during several years of field work. Various consultants contributed to it (native speakers of Trumai, from the villages: Terra Preta, Steinen, and Boa Esperança). | ||
| Raquel is a Brazilian linguist. She has been working with the Trumai people since 1989. She has a Ph.D. in Linguistics from Rice University (Houston, Texas, U.S.A). | ||
