Description:This project aims to document the langpouage and culture of Nyagbo. The people themselves refer to the language as Tutrugbu. Although also referred to officially as Nyagbo (also spelled Nyangbo), one of the groups that speak it prefers that we use Tutrugbu. Tutrugbu is a Ghana-Togo Mountain (GTM) language spoken in the Volta Region of Ghana. The project was funded by the NSF Documenting Endangered Language Program from 2006 - October 30, 2009.
Frog story elicitation. Papa Walter is given the picture book "Frog where are you" by Mayer (1969). After going through it, he narrates the event to his grand -niece Evelyn in the form of a story.
Speaks Nyagbo fluently and has native-speaker competence in Ewe. Also speaks Akan. Has a little English from second-cycle school
