Description:Overe (coconut) Two boys go fishing. On their way back home, the sea-monster Suvin asks them for fish. When all their fish is finished, the monster threatens to kill them. The elder brother asks the younger one to feed the monster with pieces of his body. When only his head is left, they reach their village where the brother and the mother bury the head. A coconut palm grows from the head. When it has grown very tall, the brother climbs it. The coconut-tree bends until its crown is above the place where the sea-monster stays. He kills the monster. The coconut-palm bends back and brings him home, there he picks the coconuts and throws them into the sea so that they can float to other villages and provide all people with coconuts. The story explains why the coconut looks as if it had a face.
