Description:		Documentation of the signing ceremony for a pearl farming contract at Minjilang on Croker Island. The ceremony was conducted by the Northern Land Council in cooperation with the Minjilang Council, and the senior traditional owners of the clans within whose estate the sea country to be leased is located. Members of the clans involved in the contract, their families, representatives of the Pearl Company (Broome Pearls) and some journalists from Darwin are in attendance. The ceremony includes performances of Ldalha (Sea songs) and Yanajanak (Mimi spirit songs) accompanied by dancing.
