When the festival comes, according to Ranlim, “like the diamond road, like the rock which I half see, these I have seen while sing. How I see is like this, in the olden days the festival was 4-5 days. First day they will sing whole day, go to another house and so on. While singing they are offered a piece of chicken and rice beer. The main point is that during the festival it is not me, it is someone is possessing me. That fellow is carrying me and thats why I have experienced it. On the last day of the festival that spirit will leave. While I am being possessed, people will tell me to bind their hand (jaq khaq), this is done with the rai ban. He will only bind if the rai ban stands up.”
