| Description: | The Voice that Conquered Volume 1. Provided to be deposited by Paak Orim, Viviran Village, Toma LLG. Songs of the Matalau Male Choir, singing hymns from the Methodist hymnal and also the Kuanua Hymnal, a translation of Hymns from the Methodist Hymnal into the Kuanua language that is the dialect for the indigenous Tolai people of ENB Province. Matalau Village is within the Kombiu LLG, Rabaul District, ENB Province. This group consists of a new generation of youth and mens fellowship from Matalau United Church/village. The title of this volume 1 album is “The voice that Conquers” It tells how the Fijian and Samoan missionaries conquered the hearts and soul of the people at Matalau who were living in the darkness through singing after they landed in Matalau shores on 12th October, 1875. Singing of religious songs in praise and worship to God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
