Barike Band is a legendary Papua New Guinea (PNG) musical group formed in 1981 in Rabaul, recognized for pioneering "Tolai Rock"— a fusion of traditional Tolai rhythms with reggae, rock, and soul. Famous for hits like "Wan Kantri," they were a major cultural force in the 80s and 90s, recording at Pacific Gold Studios and CHM Studios. Song List.
