Okoro Mates was a popular band from ENB Province. PNG. The band composes songs in relation to their life experiences, and they compose songs from these events for entertainment for all age groups within their community and PNG. The Okoro Mates were part of a vibrant Rabaul music scene alongside other notable groups such as Painim Wok, Molachs, and Junior Kokoratts. Their music blends contemporary rock styles with local cultural expression. The band comes from the North Coast area (NCR) of the Gazelle Peninsula with leading musicians such as Sam Tarere.
