Description:George Telek, PNG's most celebrated musician alblum "Akave" was recorded in Melbourne and Rabaul as a collaboration with David Bridie. It features an array of PNG top musicians and is a mixture of Melanesian dub, stringband, Tolai rock, acoustic and traditional customs. "Akave" is a rewarding journey through the diverse musical landscape where it blends traditional musical forms and instruments with the contemporary sounds. "Akave" album is packed with lush harmonies reminiscent of Melanesian churches and bush sounds that make up Telek's trademark melodies and haunting vocals. The Telek release is his fifth album internationally and for Australia's world music label, Wantok Musik. Tracklist. 1.West Papua (Merdeka Mix) 04:03 2.
