| Description: | Ms. Sinkale Bel7a and Ms Dibbe Bel7a, who are sisters, sing while grinding tobacco for the market. The two women take turns to express, in the same melody, something different about their relatives and friends, finishing with the title of the song “woddala’. The song is not translated but it is a praise song typically sang by women when engaged in work like grinding. The recording was not planned. It was made in the house of Ato Woldeyohanes Afa in Kettle. Children can be seen in the background, some simply watching others dancing (ɗólla). Researcher Azeb Amha made a video recording (using Panasonic HC-W580 video camera) while her research assistant and host Mr Degefu Woldeyohanes made an audio recording of it in Zoom4H.
