Description:In this session Mr Woldeyohannes Apa (also known by the name Arche Apa) tells about his upbringing. As a son born with special marks to be heir of his father Kaat Apa, he had to move out of the house in a young age ( ~8 years) since “two Kaati’s cannot live in the same house”. He was brought up by family-friends while occasionally meeting his father. Mr Tariku Chifaw asks him various questions including the ceremonies of anointing him as Kaati upon the death of his father. The recording was done in Dimalle in the house of Mr Tariku Chifaw on the basis of an earlier made appointment. Azeb Amha made the recording using Panasonic HC W580 recorder.
