Description:This is a historical narrative about a married couple. The woman was from El Portillo and the man was from El Carrizal. The man had poor health and always got sick. The woman was frustrated by this. They moved to the coast, and she found a new lover there. The husband's poor health continued, and the wife decided to kill him. She ground up a piece of (poisonous) toad and put it into his corn gruel. He became thinner and thinner and passed away. The story highlights how strongly poisonous toad venom is.
