His burra, female donkey, gets exhausted, and he feeds her some of his tacos . The donkey dies, and then three vultures come to eat the donkey. They die too. When the young man arrives at the rich person's house, the rich man asks for a riddle or prophecy. The traveler thinks of what happened on the journey and says 'el pan mató a la tabla y la tabla mató a tres'.
