Title:The hammock moth and the monster fish
0185-The hammock moth and the monster fish
Documentation of Zenzontepec Chatino language and culture
Contributor:TCR
Coverage:Mexico
Date:2010-03-15
Description:TCR tells of two monsters. The kwili_xi! ke!ta_& was a large butterfly, and when it passed by it was believed that something bad was going to happen. They said it was going to the river to see its lover, the huge fish monster. The fish monster, kyoo7, lived in the depths and shot out whirlwinds to snatch people. TCR says these are just old beliefs and not real history. Audio duration [00:02:20]
