Description:In this fable all of the species of large animals that eat lots of food and live many years are gathered for a meeting with God. A couple of grasshoppers show up for the meeting, and an elephant teases them saying that they are not great animals and they only live 60 days. The grasshoppers decide that if life is so short they might as well mate all of the time. According to the tale this is why grasshoppers are always seen with the male mounted on the female. TCR then says that (according to the bible) people used to live thousands of years and later God shortened the lives of humankind. Now eighty years is a long life. He then says that humans are the grasshoppers, since our lives are very short. Audio duration [00:06:28]]
