| Description: | ENGLISH: Sample of the lexicon of the Trumai language - terms for mammals. This sample was prepared with the Shoebox/Toolbox program and later exported into the PDF format. For each lexical item, we have the following kinds of information: citation form; phonetic transcription; part of speech; glosses in English and Portuguese; possible scientific classification of the animal; illustration or photo. In certain cases, there are also comments. For compounds, the morphological decomposition is presented. ----- PORTUGUÊS: Amostra do léxico da língua Trumai - termos para mamíferos. Essa amostra foi preparada através do programa Shoebox/Toolbox e depois exportada para o formato PDF. Para cada item lexical, há os seguintes tipos de informação: forma de citação; transcrição fonética; classe de palavra; glossas em inglês e português; possível classificação científica do animal; ilustração ou foto. Em alguns casos, há também comentários. Para as palavras compostas, a composição morfológica é apresentada. | |
| The purpose of the project is to document Trumai, a genetically isolate language spoken in Brazil. The archive consists of a collection of texts in the language, plus other kinds of materials relative to the Trumai culture, such as photos, drawings, songs, educational materials, etc. | ||
