| The purpose of the project is to document Trumai, a genetically isolate language spoken in Brazil. The archive consists of a collection of texts in the language, plus other kinds of materials relative to the Trumai culture, such as photos, drawings, songs, educational materials, etc. | ||

| There are two main participants: Speaker6 (who talks in Trumai) and her sister, Speaker28 (who talks mainly in Portuguese, although she can speak a little of Trumai as well). | ||
| Emmanuel is a French anthropologist. He has been working with the Trumai people since 2003. He has a Ph.D. in Anthropology. | ||
| Speaker28 is ethnically Trumai. Her mother is Trumai, her father is Kamayurá. When Speaker28 was a child, she had to leaver her village due to health problems and spent part of her life in a city undergoing medical treatments. For this reason, she speaks Trumai with limitations, but she can speak Portuguese well. She is a trained nurse, living in the Steinen village with her children (she is a single mother and the head of her household). | ||
| Speaker6 is a native speaker of Trumai. Her mother is Trumai, her father (who died when she was still a child) was Kamayura. Speaker6 is married to a Waura man, and has many kids. She is considered a good speaker of Trumai, has good knowledge about mythology and about medicinal plants. She is middle-aged. | ||
