Description:The yellow-spotted river turtle (Podocnemis unifilis), or kiripasa-zedoa-resa-pa’i, popularly called tracajá in Brazilian Portuguese, is commonly eaten by the Aikanã. The rather brutal way of killing the turtle is by either putting her straight on the fire or breaking off the shell alive.
