Description:People don't eat what they used to, and eat more ready-made, store-bought food instead of grilled manioc roots, yam and seafood. She also talks about her childhood, and how lucky she was to avoid school and grow up with serious, dedicated parents.
Kito is the clan's messenger He lives in Sinema, where a mother died at childbirth and haunted the tribe to find the child she wasn't buried with. Opening the tomb and giving her a baby bottle solved the problem. Kito used to be a construction worker but broke his arm badly in a car accident and since 2017, he operates the gas pump at the local Shell station. Likes kava and jokes, famous for his hunting dogs and his beautiful wife
Bety was given by her mother Nini ("Nini Ragot") back to her maternal clan, as is traditional, in order to take care of her elderly grandmother. She understands some Vamale but no Pije, and only speaks French.
